Content Management Systems or CMS

What is a CMS?

A Content Management System or CMS is a tool for managing content, usually on a Web site, newsletter, email, invoice etc. The CMS separates the design, interactivity, and content from one another to make it easier for content authors to provide content.

The content usually fits within a template, so the content author only has to provide the information. This gives the content author freedom to independently make instant changes. The template can also be edited using the same system.

Where is the Page Content Stored?

The page content is stored in an SQL database, and retrived when required.

How is the Content Edited?

Simply select the page, make the changes, then save the changes. You don't have to know Html, but if you do you can edit the Html directly or paste in the Html from your favourite editor.

There are several online editors that you can choose from. Two options are shown here, give them a try and see which editor you are most comfortable with.
Each time you save your changes you will see what they look like, and how they appear in the other editor.
